Like tasteful floral arrangements, wedding music should add to the occasion, and not be intrusive such that it might take away from the focus of the event: the bride, the ceremony, the bride, the groom, and the bride.

Attendees should walk away with only the pleasant memory of how nice the music was. This is not spotlight time for the musicians.

Such was the occasion for my daughter's wedding, backed by the FTSQ. From their extensive repertoire, specific pieces were selected by my daughter for certain moments during the ceremony. A member of the quartet came to the rehearsal, asked questions and took notes.

The final product was a very tasteful addition to the wedding. The musicians kept a keen eye on the ceremony and knew when to add filler music when certain moments dragged. This prevented awkward silences and maintained the flow of the ceremony.

The women of the Final Touch String Quartet met as members of the Chandler Symphony Orchestra. While primarily stay-at-home Moms, their love for playing classical music in an ensemble setting, as well as in the symphonic realm drew them together. In addition to weddings, private parties and corporate events the Final Touch String Quartet has represented the Chandler Symphony Orchestra at civic functions, including the Mayoral "State of the City" reception for the city of Chandler, AZ.
Along with traditional music such as Mozart and Haydn quartets, the musicians of the Final Touch String Quartet also enjoy spicing up their repetoire with a few sultry tangos as well as a handful of playful works by LeRoy Anderson.

1st hour (one-hour minimum): $500.00
Additional hour: $200.00

To secure your special date, a $100 deposit is required. Checks are payable to the member of the Final Touch String Quartet with whom you are communicating regarding your special event. Cancellations within one month of the date will not receive a refund.

Other combinations of instrumnets like Duet and Trio are available on request.

LaDawn Lingard is First Violin in The Final Touch String Quartet. In addition to playing with the Quartet, LaDawn currently plays with Musica Nova Orchestra of Scottsdale and the San Marcos, now Chandler Symphony Orchestra. She has also played with Mesa Symphony Orchestra now Symphony of the Southwest, Arizona Chamber Symphony, Salt Lake Symphony, the Bob Hope Orchestra, El Paso Symphony and Ballet Orchestra, El Paso Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra.

LaDawn completed her Bachelor Degree in Music Performance with honors in 1990 under the tutelage of Abraham Chavez, conductor of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra and Laurence Gibson, concertmaster of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. She has served as concertmaster of the Salt Lake Symphony, University of Texas at El Paso Symphony, Moscow Corelli String Ensemble and as Principle Second of the Symphony School of America Orchestra.

Mrs. Lingard has participated in master classes with the Los Angeles Quartet, Charles Rex, Associate Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, Harold Dicterow, Principle Second of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Neal Stuhlberg, Associate Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

LaDawn produced a Violin CD recording of sacred music titled, “Sunday Psalms” in 1999 and was the Arizona State representative for the American Mothers National Violin Competition in 2005. In addition to playing in local music groups LaDawn teaches violin at her private studio in Mesa, Arizona.

About Nell Dunivnet-Hill

Nell Dunivent-Hill began playing violin at age nine, when a friend suggested they begin learning violin together. Throughout her school years she played with school orchestras including sitting first stand in a district-wide Honor Orchestra.
While in high school, she was invited to play in pit orchestras at other local schools’ musical productions, including The Wizard of Oz and South Pacific. In addition to the high school orchestra, and later, college orchestra, Ms. Dunivent-Hill also played with the Garden Grove Symphony. After graduating from Biola University in La Mirada, California, Ms. Dunivent-Hill joined the Aliso Viejo Symphony Orchestra in Aliso Viejo, California.
For ten years, Ms. Dunivent-Hill played in the Praise Symphony Orchestra, which performed in venues throughout Southern California, including the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. She has also played for vocal artists, including John Michael Talbot and Twila Paris.
Currently, Ms. Dunivent-Hill is the President of the Chandler Symphony Board of Directors; is the Principal Second Violin in the Chandler Symphony, under the enthusiastic direction of Mr. Jack Herriman; and is a member of the Final Touch String Quartet.
Outside of the Chandler Symphony, Ms. Dunivent-Hill enjoys playing at her church, St. Timothy's Catholic Community in Mesa, Arizona, she loves being Graham's mom, and Austin's wife, enjoys making custom jewelry, reading historical fiction, and having coffee with friends.

From my first lesson at the age of nine I was hooked on playing the violin. My very first teacher, Mrs. Carol Berns used the Suzuki method to teach me the basics of violin position and playing. After a couple of years of playing I joined a local youth orchestra which launched me into participating in many other youth music groups and festivals. After high school graduation I attended Arizona State University where I studied viola with teachers Mrs. Patricia Cosand and Dr. William Magers. While at ASU I played in various music groups including the ASU Symphony Orchestra and ASU Mariachis. I graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.
I began teaching violin and viola privately in 1995 and immediately loved it. In addition to my private teaching I’ve taught orchestra classes at McKemy Middle School and Broadmor School in Tempe. I have also taught general music classes at The Awakening Seed School in Phoenix.
