About Nell Dunivnet-Hill


Nell Dunivent-Hill began playing violin at age nine, when a friend suggested they begin learning violin together. Throughout her school years she played with school orchestras including sitting first stand in a district-wide Honor Orchestra.
While in high school, she was invited to play in pit orchestras at other local schools’ musical productions, including The Wizard of Oz and South Pacific. In addition to the high school orchestra, and later, college orchestra, Ms. Dunivent-Hill also played with the Garden Grove Symphony. After graduating from Biola University in La Mirada, California, Ms. Dunivent-Hill joined the Aliso Viejo Symphony Orchestra in Aliso Viejo, California.
For ten years, Ms. Dunivent-Hill played in the Praise Symphony Orchestra, which performed in venues throughout Southern California, including the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. She has also played for vocal artists, including John Michael Talbot and Twila Paris.
Currently, Ms. Dunivent-Hill is the President of the Chandler Symphony Board of Directors; is the Principal Second Violin in the Chandler Symphony, under the enthusiastic direction of Mr. Jack Herriman; and is a member of the Final Touch String Quartet.
Outside of the Chandler Symphony, Ms. Dunivent-Hill enjoys playing at her church, St. Timothy's Catholic Community in Mesa, Arizona, she loves being Graham's mom, and Austin's wife, enjoys making custom jewelry, reading historical fiction, and having coffee with friends.
